this summer has been great & very busy.
i feel bad for neglecting this and not posting photos of life/art/finds
but i will as soon as i have more then five minutes to sit still.

these little guys are made out of 100% recycled material from vintage clothing and string.
and each is hand-made & hand-sewn with love.
each is stuffed with the cloth its made out of--no piece is wasted!

they are just something i enjoy making while bored at work.
while hand-sewing is awesome, i plan to use a sewing machine from now on
it just makes them more professional looking.

they are for sale, if you want to buy one..
..once again, i know they aren't great looking, but they come with lots of love!

my screen printing final from screen process 1 class. a bit late on the posting of them..but whatever. things have been busy in my life and at the same time, nothing has been going on. i keep making a list in my mind of things to do..i need to actaully do them. i am a sloth (minus the 3 toe part)

oh, love.

it's driving me crazy. i want you here with me. but for now, he's on tour (in Tennessee right now actaully) and i just miss him so much. yes, this is one of those 'shut up about it--hearing of your relationship makes me sick' posts. but its tearing at my heart how much i miss him. which is a good thing to know, but its so hard!

i found this video. not only is it amazingly cute, for some reason it makes me enjoy man-kind and that maybe not all hope is lost---



on a different note,
i went out and bought the New American Paintings that is out this month.
its great. everything in it is splendid.
go take a look at it if you are ever in Barnes & Noble.

as i was Eric Ayotte's myspace page and listening to his new song (which are amazing by the way!)
I took a gander at his album design and it is amazing. So of course, I had to go look at the artist who did it and i found Koala. Hes this big hairy guy from New York who paints these amazing pieces! I really love the combination of painting and illustration. plus its on wood so that a definite plus! I dont know, i just really like his work. I think i might try to paint (as soon as i get back from Arlington Sleeps' show tonight...go to it if you can!)

can't forget to mention the old welding workshop in the other room, wood paneling all around, and metal scupltures my grandmother made in the 60's.

it is the eastern edition
therefore, tons of maryland (and surrounding states) artist are in it.
and i dont think i saw an artist i didn't like

anyone who is into art/looking at art-
you should really take a gander at this book.
it has fresh, amazing artists from all sorts of back grounds.
its a must, and i think everyone would enjoy it!

if the book wasn't about $30, I would be a avid subscriber
but i think i might splurge and get it this month
because its all local art, which is amazing.

not to mention, the featured artist on fecalface.com is in the book.
so once again, it MUST be awesome.

woah, there. Not art - it's my life.

where do i start?
school is ending and new things are about to happen in my life, along with the lives of people i love. I'm moving into my loft, aka flat, aka my grandmother's basement. I should also be getting a kitty-cat soon too! This women my mother knows has a pregnant cat, so as soon as the babies are introduced into the world, i will get one to love! Plus, my family is going to get another dog. After my puppy (of 10 years) was put to sleep, I have been hesitant about getting another dog. But my parents should get one to make the house more a home once i move out.
Chris is moving back home, no apartment for him. People fell through and fell short. I would, in a heartbeat, live with him. But after so many relationships break after couples live together, I don't want that to happen. Even though we have been together over 3x longer then people we know, we don't have anything to rush (or prove). He might be getting a store in Bel Air, too! This amazing place is up for sale, and he has the goods to give to the people! Clothing, music, a venue, crafts..it would be the best store. We will wait and see!!!
Things are coming out in the open with relationships and friendship and all those ships. I've realized that when people say "everyone" it is in fact NOT everyone. Your everyone is not the same as my everyone and everyone is not actaully everyone! "Everyone talks about you, Emily" i have gotten that one a lot. But turns out, everyone is a total of 3 people who only have negative things to say about me when they don't even know me. That doesn't bother me anymore. I have my everyone, and who i want my everyone to consist of.
I have been getting no sleep and no real food for the past week. Finals are killing me! I was up until 6am on Tuesday screen printing in the lab, watched the sun rise. Not to mention i was up until 3am the night before finishing my painting. Today I finally got the sleep i needed and got out of bed at 4 in the afternoon!! Even though I got nothing done today, it was well deserved!
